  Why can't I put zero stars?! "I hated it" is an understatement considering my situation. Long story short, I was charged $620 for my 3-hour tax preparation (I would say appointment, but they didn't put me in the schedule) that resulted in me owing $3,600 because of a HUGE mistake. Not only did they make a mistake, they argued with me about it on 4 different occasions before they even discussed it with me or looked at my documents. I took my return to JCCS in Hamilton (who would have only charged me $350 to do it correctly the first time.) Turns out that I'm getting a $10,200 return. Now, my tax refund will take up to 3 months to recieve. Oh, and that refunded tax prep fee...I was told to be patient, it take about 4 weeks. One last note: the solitary 5-star review is the manager. Update: Six weeks later, I find out that my tax prep fee refund was denied...and they didn't find it necessary to tell me. It took me calling the office 3 times and corporate 5 times to find out. The moral of the story - they don't feel that they made a mistake although the bank, CPA, IRS 1099-R Instructions, IRS Publication 590-B, and IRS 8606 Instructions say otherwise. If you value your time, money, and sanity you should go somewhere else. If you were unfortunate enough to trust them already, you may want to research it and/or get a second opinion...especially if you were dealing with Roth IRAs.

  When Ida had this business it was good. But the last two years it has really gone downhill. We were audited by the IRS for the fist time in our lives. We have had our own businesses since we were 18. The last two years our taxes looked to be prepared incorrect and it will cost us a lot of money. The other thing I did not know about these places is that the people who do you taxes do not need much training to do them. Did not know that until after talking to the IRS. I will be doing my own taxes from now on.

  HORRIBLE. Do NOT get your taxes done here. H&R Block says they stand behind their work but they put you through the ringer first. Theyre amateurs at what they do. Get an educated accountant instead of trusting these people with your money. Infuriating and frustrating to deal with their incompetence.
